2007 was a really great year for Michigan Sport Horse Breeding Farm.

We welcomed our first full year of  our new stallion Lintas foals.  They are exceeding all expectations!  At the AHHA approvals 7 of 9 presented were PREMIUM!  The other two were 14 points.  These beautiful foals are all exceptionally correct and spectacular in their movement.  The temperaments on these foals is seeming to be just like dad.  They are smart, co-operative, seem to have a very can do attitude and are easy to handle.

Lintas and Amour have big horse-shoes to fill after the  unbelievable accomplishments for 2007 by Rantares and Michigan Sport Horse.  Rantares ended the year sitting in firmly in FIRST place for DRESSAGE SIRE OF THE YEAR for USEF!!!   This ranking is determined by points given to all dressage horses that compete in the USA.  Points are awarded to the sire of all horses that place in competition.  All stallions of all breeds standing anywhere in the world are ranked by the offsprings’ performance in the competition ring.  There were over 950 stallions in this ranking.

Along with this accomplishment, Michigan Sport Horse was the number FIVE dressage breeding farm in the U.S.A. out of some 500 farms.  Our farm has only three to four broodmares.  This is a testament to two things:

  1. The high quality of offspring from our mares and stallions.
  2. The ability to place the right horse with the best rider to succeed in sport.

Also I, Cheryl Kellerman as owner of Michigan Sport Horse Breeding Farm was honored with the American Holsteiner Horse Associations Presidents Choice for Breeder Excellence award.  Our mantel is beautifully adorned with two lovely trophies and a lovely picture frame from our best possible year.
