Michigan Sport Horse Breeding Farm is pleased to announce the addition of some state-of-the-art breeding equipment.  We are now one of the few private equine breeding farms to have a portable densimeter to facilitate optimal sperm concentrations for each shipment.  This densimeter was newly developed in Germany and allows us to measure and adjust sperm concentrations with our new centrifuge.  We are now able to treat fresh collected semen with the same advanced technology developed for frozen semen, and enjoy nearly 100 percent pregnancy rate with first shipments.  Our Farm is visited yearly byWhit Byers of Select Breeders Southwest to freeze semen for storage.  Select Breeders employs the latest in equine semen freezing technology and has the best equipment available in their mobile lab.  We are a freezing center for them and handle outside stallions.

With our experienced staff we are also able to retrain problem stallions to use the dummy in a safe manner and help with semen storage.  We have a variety of purchased extenders and also make up extenders that are not commercially available. This is helpful for stallions that have difficulty with semen shipping.

We also have our own ultrasound and backup team of veterinarians from Kern Road Vet Clinic.  All stallions have been tested negative for EVA, and vaccinated yearly.

Our breeding contract guarantees semen quality and protects mare owners from endless expensive shipments of bad semen with no recourse.
